Death, taxes, and Gavin Newsom having tea time with fascists: the 3 guarantees of life.

Agree to disagree then, because to me it's been his players that have bailed him out despite himself, and the luck always ran out in all of these disastrous postseason games he kept piling up. The pattern was patterning.

He's always had good players, they're the ones that have bailed him out from his atrocious play calling once the bright lights of the playoffs begin.

Make magic with the current Titans roster and then I'll be impressed. Cam Ward is throwing to Twitch chat on a weekly basis, LOL

And teams that didn't win their divisions actually made it past the first round.

It's supposed to be a *joke* when you brag about being Regular Season Champions™, but apparently Steelers fans wear that title proudly. More power to you, I guess? 🤷

Truman was President the last time Tomlin won a playoff game, LOL

Like if they were progressively building towards something or the games were closer, then there would be an argument to be had. But no, they constantly IMPLODED in the playoffs, looking thoroughly under prepared and out coached every time. That's on the HC. They weren't getting better with him.

Made it to a championship game this decade, LOL
January 13, 2026 at 10:51 PM
This would be like Bruce Arians trying to take credit for all 7 of Tom Brady's Superbowls just because he was there for one of them, can we be so for real right now, LOL
January 13, 2026 at 10:25 PM
That's always the excuse, "oh well look at his QBs, what do you want him to do?"

Uh, his job, LOL

He's literally supposed to develop his talent to get better. And with how long he was there, it's not like he had zero input on who was brought in. HE wanted Rodgers when they could've gotten Shedeur.

Barely making it over .500 and getting blown out in the playoffs every year since Obama's last term in office makes them losers.

The neighboring Pennsylvania team Eagles have won 2 Superbowls in the same time span. When the DETROIT LIONS made it closer to a SB than them, that makes them losers.
January 13, 2026 at 10:07 PM
And as a Titans fan, I remember folks fighting tooth and nail to keep him around too.

At some point you have to recognize that you aren't going anywhere and make the decision, even if it means you gotta eat a few bad seasons to rebuild again. That's just how it goes.
January 13, 2026 at 9:58 PM
If you're basically a free bye week for any wild card team you face for a decade after limping into the playoffs one or two Ws above .500, then it really isn't that impressive?

There are 3 kinds of lies: Lies, Damn Lies, and Statistics. Mike Tomlin was the definition of an Asterisks Achiever.
January 13, 2026 at 9:56 PM
Nice for them to let him say this so he can avoid letting us know that he finally got fired, LOL
January 13, 2026 at 9:52 PM
They were a free bye week for the wild card team that faced them for a decade.

They're losers.

Is that from Dilbert? I guess it would be on brand for genericness.

Because I feel like Office Space has thoroughly taken the credit for that one regardless. This is always my association for the Monday blues.

Charlie Kirk was at least a strong personality, a recognizable brand that it makes sense that people would get attached to, for better or for (much) worse.

But who's really thinking all that much about the guy that made Dilbert, LOL
