Her attitude to (pre-death) mortals is revealed to be pretty fatalistic and condescending too.

Hades II is definitely in conversation with itself about this. One has to wonder if more is planned...

I also wonder if the differences are due to the writers growing older and their righteousness tempering with age. Reconciliation and moving forward together are the big themes here.
