Why do greenhouses have clip slots on the middle panels, but don't on the sides, edges and doors. It's annoying as no tape of mine will adhere to metal 🙄 #greenhouse #winterising #dwachelsgarden

This Sonchus is MUCH happier now than the height of summer. They really do prefer indirect sun.

Musa yunnanensis growth since the stormy weather. Faired much better at the north side of the house than the south. Will be it's first winter outside. Might drag into the shed if it gets very cold.. #dwachelsgarden #bananasuk #tropicalwales #musayunnanensis

Musa yunnanensis, 2nd year from a plug. Bit ripped up from the winds, but it's really taken off now, and has several pups. It suffered a bit on the south-facing front drive. So i brought it to the back of the house, and it's doing really well in shade! #musayunnanensis #musa #bananas #tropicalwales

The amount of growth that Dahlia imperialis puts on from a tuber each season is incredible! Hopefully the season will be long enough for blooming! Had to hack back so our Abracadabra rose had some breathing space 😄

My Acers defoliated in the recent heat wave. It was over 40°C on our drive. But it's not affected the new growth on my Brassaiopsis. Not one bit. I'm keeping them in the shade as recommended by Crug Farm #crugfarm #Brassaiopsis #dwachelsgarden
