True confession. I went to protests on 2/5, 2/17, 4/5, 6/14 and 8/2. I had hoped to have gone to today’s protest but the nearest one was 40 miles away and I didn’t have the energy. I was excited to see each of the early protests drawing more and more participants. 1/2

How about if we have a Barack Obama birthday parade in Washington on August 4th? Would anyone be up for that? No tanks needed. No cost to the American taxpayers. Just Americans getting together and celebrating “When he’s 64.”

But I thought he was going to talk about his strategy for dealing with the fires in the Carolinas and the measles outbreak in Texas. Or maybe the plan for dealing with the avian flu or a guarantee that Medicaid, Medicare, and Social Security won’t be touched. But that’s just me.
