True for single drives. Although pretty much everything is USB3 now anyway. So kinda moot.

A while back I modded an old cd tower to house a couple extra HDDs, and filled the empty bays with DVD-RW drives for kicks. So, yea, I’m insane but also I can clog a USB2 connection.

Seems to me you’d ethically have to double check the work anyway. Looking up references, conclusions, etc., probably takes just as much time.

Someone please correct me if I’m wrong but I was under the impression that the compute requirements for training the models would be a limiting factor for anybody without a few million dollars to spend?
