I subscribed to the print edition last year and sent this front page to a friend as proof that being an Onion writer is incredibly hard right now, trying to outdo reality.

I had seen someone posted on the r/clinicalresearch subreddit yesterday and their mods removed it as well - apparently they hate “politics”. 🤨

BARDA just issued Stop Work notices for a number of vaccine trials. BARDA has not released a word of it, but another vaccine sponsor, whose study began today, was stopped 2 hours into the business day. Press release says they don't know why. Can't help but think the new administration is the reason...” First reply: “Yep! We had a trial that was to be first patient today that was stopped about the same time today.” Second reply: “can confirm.”
