FWIW, I have talked about this phenomenon with several shrinks over the years and they are all in agreement on this. It also goes both ways - lower threshold for "positive" emotional interaction/projection, as well as negative aka abusing animals because you don't dare touch people in that way (yet)

From what we heard out of Washington today - what was said and how it was said both - RU likely thinks it's got this in the bag and will only have to weather maybe half a year, tops. According to Konstantin of Inside Russia, US sanction compliance supervision has already been stopped by the US gov.

I may be getting this mixed up, but doesn't this Friendship Train Russia does with various other nations from time to time usually involve a WWII-era steam locomotive, at least for the parts of the trip on RU gauge? If so: this might be their 1 current rolling stock engine least likely to break atm.

In more ways than one, apparently: I read the article you kindly linked to, and the medical advice at the bottom (in RU->GER translation) boils down (no pun intended) to: "when the product didn't exit within 48 hours, try to move more and endeavor to drink clean drinking water as often as possible".
