Higher efficiency is a winning quality over the long term. It becomes less important when you limit the sample size. The better team should want more total possessions, not fewer.

They sign so few players to third contracts, I don’t see why age is so important to them. One might think an “older” pick helps maximize the first contract a bit more. Maybe mileage is the issue?

I have to think that time improves at combine/pro day. Guys train to put up better numbers in months leading up. Not having watched him play, I’d be curious to see his game speed. Some guys play bigger/faster than they test. Interesting prospect though.
