(Spoilers maybe)They abandoned the one plot I was really into with the guy in the treehouse. It happened so fast, at the end I had to ask my Wife what happened to the fun plot? With all the call backs to his other movies I was bummed he didn’t use the metal shark from James and The Giant Peach too.
