But really, fuck the astoria horror club. Those losers are hobbyists. They don't live that life.

I crave some sort of artistic contentedness, and I am so desperate to feel like I am part of a community. And I think those two are intrinsically linked.

So I meet the person who can leech off my enthusiasm and my know how, and I mistake them being a parasite for being like me. So I give them all my knowledge and my rolodex and my ideas. And once they have it, they treat me like trash.

Honestly, I've had social problems my whole life. I struggle with not thinking highly of myself, and my mental health, and chronic illness I don't talk about. I've been a very angry person, but an equally enthusiastic one and a certain type of person is really good at leeching off my enthusiasm.
