God, I miss shovelware for what it was worth, given the absolute slop that's let through these days. It might've been unfun, it might've not looked pretty in the slightest, the soundtrack could make your ears bleed. But, even then, it was still human crafted.

Otherwise, filter terminology I'm still getting the hang of (which isn't exactly ideal considering I work in the AV tech industry atm), but bass is the "weight" of your voice, and treble supports that weight. Gain is like a more sensitive volume adjustment, sound wave stuff. @.@

Hmm... I used this video a while back, and still refer to it every now and then when the conversation of mic optimization comes up!

I work with a ~$20 mic, it sounds leagues better than it did straight out of the box (w/ no additional software).

That's awesome! I'm not really the best with audio either, but if you need some base-level audio tips, I've totally got you there! Aside from that though, it's always great to hear about that feeling, that sensation really is something special. :D 🎶
