@annetheriault.bsky.social last night in London I went to a show at a comedy club hosted by Alice Loxton, History Alice on the socials.
Not a lot of comedy but very interesting. I thought you would have enjoyed it. It made think of queens of infamy. Any here a few shots of the slides.

A great evening of short historical presentations hosted by Alice Loxton @history_alice
Ellie Smith spoke about the amazing artist, Sarah Biffen. Born without arms, as the poster advertises, she developed a way to paint w/her mouth and brush attached to her shoulder. A self portrait shows the brush.

As if turnips weren’t neglected enough, there’s a sub genre. Happy to see the revolution correcting this.
Today is Duodi the 2nd of Frimaire in the year 234.

Good thing I was so on the ball this morning and left my hotel with more than enough room to spare to get to the airport.
Because I’m on my way back to the hotel to get my overcoat.

The front desk suggested going to De Pijp to find dinner.
Ami was the place. Then a dessert beer at Café Krull.

I was a big fan of the movie Krull when “pay tv”came to Canada. I’d watch it every time it was one. Medieval alien space demons distressing damsels.

Don’t make em like they used to
