Oblivion too is not inherently evil, it is what is called a rogue concept: an entity that is formed by the belief or feeling of many people. Oblivion was originally a cult in a previous universe cycle based on giving up on existence entirely. This ideal is dangerous to fully fall to.

Their alignment with dark magic doesn't necessarily mean evil in the context of the story, so they are not inherently evil. They mainly have an inclination towards dark magic and personalities because of their patron. Regardless most of them are good people despite a negative reputation.

They always wear self-made masks to help with expression. Because of their connection to Oblivion they struggle with their objective sense of self, the mask helps mitigate this by letting them design a self to be.

My favorite right now is the monochrome colored masked kitsune. They were created by a pact with a pure dark entity named Oblivion. They have a stark black and white fur pattern that could look natural or have a more eldritch horror vibe.
