When do they point off into the distance and tell us to smile for the cameras because it's just a joke?

I was one of these children. I'm working through this event with my EMDR therapist right now, and the block is so large, it has kept me from grieving for much of my life. I'm so over the abuse that #adoptees face!

To expound a bit on my post from the other day...
In the 1960s-1970s children being placed for #adoption that spent any time in the hospital were administered barbiturates so the nurses could focus on kept children. 1

The stigmas attached to #adoptees are unwarranted.

However, many do report CPTSD, ADHD, Anxiety and more.

We aren't okay. #Adoption harmed us.

And while the vast majority of us aren't serial killers, Aileen Wuornos, Son of Sam and Hillside Strangler remain grave adoption outcomes to think on. 🥚

Who the f%&< thought it would be a good idea to drug grieving infants before they were trafficked through adoption.
