O'Brien tried this, as a joke, while beaming Lt Barclay by moving and speaking slowly. Mr. Barclay, believing he was operating in an "accelerated frame", jumped off the pad began screaming that the Scalosian's are invading and ran through the ship knocking water cups out of everyone's hands

My own damn fault for trying to use my MacBook for unix work instead of a linux machine. Only took an hour or so to build a new sd card from the backup and finish the problem I was actually working on.
I actually lost much more time on this project searching the house and garage for my Atari STE

I've never quite worked out the details. Best I can tell Mac OS makes some assumptions about how fat works and if a filesystem is a little out of sorts it will sometimes make a mess of it.

It's hard to convey in pictures just how unearthly the place is. I've hiked the trail across the park. Once you're a few hundred yards in you lose sight of pretty much everything. Just a strange white nearly lifeless landscape with these weird gnarled shrubs poking out every so often.
