And if working with Git/GitHub is intimidating, I have found @gitkraken.com to be an amazing interface. It makes everything intuitive and I've been more confident in the things that I'm doing! Check it out (gitkraken.cello.so/aqWDAh05emk). There is a free tier, but you can get 50% off with this link

Most definitely! Clinical psych is mixed, bit in my experience, any pub will be nice, but that isn't everything.
There is usually a fair amount of cosmic alignment that takes place. You have to be a good fit for the program and the advisor, the advisor has to be able to take a student etc ...

My advisor @benhankin.bsky.social always had us focus on an "Intro to the Intro". Give a couple pages of overview so that the reader can then go into the sections of your intro in more depth. Like a mini inverted pyramid on top of your intro

This is awesome! I share your viewpoint on this class and the fish is often to tech critical thinking. I want to integrate more of this into my own teaching so I'm excited to see what you share.

Handsome is a good one!
Right now it is The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers Podcast
In the past: Comedy Bang Bang, Off Book, Newcomers. I had more, but when Google Podcasts went down, all my previous listens went with it. Looking for some new ones!

I agree and I think a lot of it comes from researchers doing what is familiar to them. If it isn't broken why fix it?
It's good to address it at the publication and funding levels, but what's the best way to teach our students? Often those with less power are those who want change implemented
