My favorite passage from Harry Martinson's Aniara, an epic #poem of man's technological grandeur (and hubris) turned despair.

A few thousand souls embark on a routine trip to a Martian colony, but are pulled off-course by an asteroid and must now face existential dread over the next few decades.
Aniara (excerpt) Efforts at escape through flights of mind and slipping back and forth from dream to dream— such methods were to hand. Ok #atdev?! How is this 2FA exactly? How is this not a totally insecure implementation? Whatever happened to TOTP?

If you know most people reuse passwords, why don't you assume the user's email is likely compromised as well?

TOTP is borderline impossible to spoof without the shared secret. Use it.
