I totally get it, though. Linux is the One True Operating System, followed closely by AmigaOS and other open source unixen. Apple is evil. Etc :)

It's massive theft. Like what happened to Russia in the 90s. All of our national assets are being stolen, leaving the public with no assets, and no constitutional republic. That is the goal, unless they are stopped.

I suspect a good way to make money from "vibe coding" is to ignore it completely and make real products instead, as "vibe coding" is a pure enshittification machine.

Btw. you can get a program called "cp437" that will convert the CP437 style BitchX ANSI into modern Utf8. I think if you run BitchX in it, it might make the characters show up correctly. github.com/keaston/cp437 Or you can use my program Durdraw to load old ANSI files and have it convert them. :)

Kids these days don't know. Perl was the main alternative to C in the 90s. I worked on "legacy" Perl code all through the 2000s, and I never liked it.

HPE has a large presence in Southeast Texas, amongst the remains of Compaq. Lots of Trump voters in those parts. What a shame.

I love my own software project (Durdraw), because I have been able to fix most of the things about it that annoyed me. MS-DOS gets the love, too.

Disagree. Trump is clearly a white supremacist. He is happy to use non-white people who kiss his ass for propaganda purposes, as did Hitler.
