My daughter was so excited she used her first paycheck to buy a Liam cutout. It was delivered yesterday, and the first thing she said was the box it came in would make great protest sign material. She had him watch her make her “No Kings” sign for today’s protest, she gives me hope.

My MIL took my daughter and her cousin out today in a VERY red county. Always glad I have a hippie mother in law 💙

Actually proud my daughter saw this and said “cooking in preheat, rookie move”.

Only 4% of American adults are natural blonde, and I always say this fact out loud when I’m around a gaggle of Christian conservative ones, because it’s funny to see them fight to be that 4%.

I’m exhausted. I have a freshman in college, sophomore in high school, and I work in preschool. Looking at all these young faces and KNOWING I’ve failed them crushes me. My kid was looking at military service last year, now I’m looking at how to get them out of this country forever. I hate it here.

lol, I knew when I was in my 20’s I’ll die working. I’m 55 and already said just take me out back and put me down quick so I don’t cause my family to lose even more money if I get sick. It’s the “anything but the rich” American way.

I try to use my old white woman privilege as best I can, and those fools usually see me and think I’m a maga ally, but they definitely have it wrong. My mom didn’t raise an idiot, I will not shame her memory by being on the wrong side of history.

lol, they’d rue the day they bother me. I have too much menopausal rage and supreme dislike of dudes like that from decades of knowing their kind. I’m unfortunately not one they’d bother, but I’m always looking for someone needing my protection from them.

Everyday, pathways my kids were looking at as careers are being dismantled. I’m begging them to just find a way to leave this country and go somewhere sane and safe.

I went through a box of old pictures yesterday and found one from our middle school field trip to Red Rocks in ‘81, and I looked at it with a smile, then cursed it and put it away, lol. My favorite comfort place is now the site of one of my scariest moments as a mom.
