I feel like folks on the left do this pretty good so I’m preaching to the choir by posting it here but I just wanted to point out how I think it hurts all of us when people vote based on criteria irrelevant to the duties of the actual office.

In a system where most of the checks and balances are completely disregarded, the threat of losing is probably the only way we have to hold these dipshits accountable for actually doing their job. So I’m gonna need voters to actually take their vote seriously and not vote based on trivial shit

Republicans have now a decades long history of Vote For Us To Prevent Those Guys From Doing Governing™️ and it needs to be demonstrated clearly that it’s a losing strategy and we’re no longer gonna let a person sit in a seat of power because they said they don’t want trans people running track
