Nicolae and Elena Ceaușescu loved each other as well. Problem is it really didn't help anyone else as they were pilfering and mismanaging Romania.

That's what happens when they open their tent to fringe lunatics.

It's a voluntary tax on the poor.

The Dunning-Kruger effect must be strong indeed in Mother Russia.

They ruling class, i.e. the wealthy, privileged few, pit us against each other by ensuring that Congress taxes the working class most heavily, ensuring that the working taxpayer resents every welfare recipient as a thief stealing from them, while the wealthy are the real thieves going unnoticed.

There's a reason people call it the lamestream media.

That is not a different conclusion. It says it is the "biggest way to reduce *your* impact on Earth." Whether that is true or not, it does not account for how much worse industry and consumer culture are than cow farts.

Sounds like a classic sociopath.

And if we're very lucky, one day machines will be able to eliminate a lot of that slavery for good. We could have a Star Trek future if that succeeds, a future where people are far more free to pursue their interests without worrying so much about basic needs, perhaps even without money.

Bottom line is money talks and bullshit walks. If you zoom out and look at how civilization has evolved over time, we never truly abolished slavery. It just changes form. We always need a larger number of people laboring for subsistence in order to have luxury for a relative few.

Still, until something is done about the gargantuan volume of CO2 being pumped out by Chinese industry (making most of the products mindless American consumers buy nonstop), eating differently to reduce cowfarts is truly silly and pointless by comparison.

He was a wealthy pedo who finally got busted and lost his life of privilege, facing spending the rest of his life in prison with guys who don't take kindly to guys like him. I don't think it would have taken a conspiracy for him to off himself.

This is what happens when imbecilic morons take over government agencies, and we got that because a lot of imbecilic morons voted one of their own into the nation's highest office. Again.

It seems that the US just can't compete globally these days. Likely it has to do with economic distortions brought about by the strong dollar vs weak foreign currencies. US farmers, like US manufacturers, simply can't compete on price. Their expenses are simply too high. Hence subsidies.

Disease or some other natural cause?

Those were the days, my friend. We thought they'd never end...
