yeah, a lot of late 90s shows doing that offbrand "what if we threw Slayers and SMJ in a blender" beat are also hideous lol, in a simultaneously wonderfully and horribly memorable way. think the only series to get close to *that* flavor of QUALITY jank again was Sailor Moon Crystal's first season.
