The service can already be pretty patchy. Surely this will further reduce the number of volunteers and thus the level of support offered.

Arresting 500 people for quietly holding signs isn't going to help the prison and police cells overcrowding situation.

Morally the university should look after the building. But surely the council/govn has the power to enforce some action? Doesn't it... Or what's the point of a building being listed.
