At the end of this single lane track is a dead end and a dog poo bin (which you can just see). 60mph seems sensible.

Loving this album by Little Simz. Great lyrics. Cracking tunes. Fab.

This encapsulates my current unease. Do what’s right & possible rather than always bowing to electoral strategy. We need to lift children out of poverty. We also need to incentivise people from all socioeconomic groups to have families if we want to combat our falling school roll problem.

Love this album from GreenTea Peng.

This. Just like Grayson Perry’s “Comfort Blanket” this captures perfectly what immigration means to the UK. Don’t fight reform on their own patch. Shine a light on their lack of health policy, education policy, or social care policy. That’s where their contempt for ordinary people will shine through

Waiting to see @vegatrails.bsky.social at The Institute of Contemporary Arts. Jazz on a school night in That London.

I have worked out how to set BST on my cheap Casio watch and the sun is shining at 18:05 on the local livestock. Let the long light evenings begin.

My mum used to call Peter Shilton - Feet of Stilton for no other reason than it amused her to play with words. I imagine there are blue veins in his feet and they may have been cheesy at times but these considerations were not a motivating factor.

Little musical trip back to Montréal where I bought this album. Loved Canada 🇨🇦. No wonder L’homme bébé orange wants to get his inexplicably tiny grubby mitts on it. Lovely album from Avec Pas D’Casque.

A little gorgeousness before bed. This is an absolute classic. Piano and double bass making a glorious sound together. Sounding as fresh as it did in 1963 when it was recorded. Picked up my copy in Copenhagen having been across the bridge to see Sveneborg Kardyb in concert in Malmö.

Massive thanks to @sallyspalding.bsky.social for popping the record shelves up. Alongside my @coldwarsteve.bsky.social prints it makes for a cool corner.

A fellow called Adam Sage who is on insta does amazing stick and poke tattoos. He did this one for me based upon the poster of the Robert Bresson film « Un condamné à mort s’est échappé » or A Man Escaped.
