That day 3 (or lack of) call is looking pretty solid. Especially now as I just watch the last England wicket. This is the most ridiculous ashes test evar…

You’re right - I don’t actually mind the guy. But I’m a kiwi so for the next month or so I gotta support England (it’s an antipodean thing) Seeing him sit down is a nice result. Bloody good day one though overall!

Ones a cheat, ones a bore. Both are sitting down wondering what happened.

I mean - it’s Cross and Scarlett version 2 right? I wish WWE would’ve had more faith in the originals, especially Cross’s last run - but equally Black and Vega can both go in the ring so hope they are allowed to get some decent on screen time.

I’d definitely watch that too - although be hard to do it as anything other than a squash or a gimmick match as Randy should, in theory, be levels above.

I mean a GM vs GM match writes itself if Pierce is still able to go.

I just hope they give Drew his flowers eventually. He is a top performer and does the job more than most.

She is the best McMahon. But that’s not the highest hurdle in the world. Was a nice moment with Taker and she has done a lot for industry - even if, much like her husband, it might not be quite as much as she likes to make out.

Once the AJ / Becky stuff is finished an AJ / Nikki nostalgia match would be fun. Depends if AJ is back properly or was just here for this angle.

I enjoyed it. Mixed tag matches come with one obvious limitation / safety feature but they did the best you could possibly do with the format.
September 21, 2025 at 1:44 AM
USO’s match was pretty good I thought? It’s a b-lvl PLE existing solely to counter program AEW so my expectations were tempered. It’s been an OK show excl whatever Lesnar / Cena was supposed to achieve.
September 21, 2025 at 1:12 AM
Better second match. Knight turning it into a semi no DQ added a bit to it. Sad to see the Uso’s getting cooled off but all the WWE eggs are in the Vision basket atm.
September 21, 2025 at 12:13 AM
Interesting choice to book it that way. Did anybody really want to see Lesnar do that two months before Cena retires? (Unless they plan on playing it back which seems a waste of a “final” match for someone)
September 20, 2025 at 11:36 PM
Difficult one. Everyone is entitled to say “no” to an autograph or selfie but putting yourself in the role of “voice of the voiceless” is a choice. If you want to be the hero you can’t turn it off when it’s inconvenient. Cena gets that - Phil, not so sure.
September 20, 2025 at 7:20 AM
Not up to me to say what is “deserved” but in the ring you are literally not defending yourself (otherwise there would be no flashy moves and no show) It’s worse than them fighting it out on the street as Jackson knew he could get a bunch of shots in before anyone knew he was for real.
September 19, 2025 at 3:37 AM
Agreed. That was probably his best wrestling work and when he was most popular with the wrestling community. But now he’s popular with a lot of other people too (at the loss of some of his original fans maybe)
September 10, 2025 at 4:02 AM
Can you be bigger on the indies? More respected definitely but “bigger” I take to mean “well known and popular”. Cody is crossing over to other media now, same as Roman is doing and of course Rock did as the prime example. You don’t get to do that straight from the indies.
September 10, 2025 at 3:54 AM
Of course it did. Cody was lower mid card at best before he left. However, Cody also made AEW a bigger thing than it was, at least in the early days - So I’d say mutually beneficial which is not a bad thing.

This is the second time Nash has spoken about Lynch. Axe to grind maybe? In any event I disagree, think Lynch aligned with the Vision is a strong stable and her recent mic work with Punk has been some of her best. Her vs AJ could be an excellent long term feud, with or without their husbands.
September 8, 2025 at 9:58 PM
Deserved to do whatever he wants but his knowledge of the game is tip top. Gotta think this is a massive W.
September 7, 2025 at 2:36 AM
It’s always a bit frustrating when the past wrestlers / promoters try to stay relevant by having deliberately controversial takes on stuff. This new tie in with Seth and the Vision has 10 times the heel heat that Big Time Becs had - and Nash knows that really.
September 2, 2025 at 12:34 AM
That’s actually a strong and accurate (maybe go as far as humble?) statement from Paul. Credit where it’s due, he’s gone up against Cena on the mike and in the ring and performed admirably. I don’t like the man and probably never will but taken in isolation this was excellent business.

My team is shite at the best of times but you’d at least hope VAR allowed everyone to be shite equally. I couldn’t care less about Chelsea or Fulham but it needs at a minimum to be fair to both.
