Mordin Solus (MASS EFFECT 2 & 3)

How could I forget everyone's favorite Salarian? Analytical, sharp, a bit eccentric, gets to the point. Science bro. Essential squadmate. All-around fantastic character with an emotionally moving arc.

Yusuke (PERSONA 5)

Some of my friends brought this character up to me as "He's literally you, bro!" After playing this game, I can see why. Socially awkward, quirky, a bit formal in speech. But creative, passionate about art, loyal to his friends, and awesome when it counts! Didn't see that coming.

Christian Wolff (THE ACCOUNTANT)

Autistic antihero who's accountant by day, assassin by night? Sign me up! This film manages to get many things about autism right while also exploring the nuances and grey areas in Christian. Genuinely interesting to follow. One of Ben Affleck's best performances.

Gary Bell (ALPHAS)

Right out the gate, I appreciated him for coming across like an authentic autistic dude. Intelligent, funny, has solid dynamics with his teammates. He's got really cool abilities too! A shame Alphas got cancelled. Especially since that cliffhanger set up something wild for him.

Drax the Destroyer (the GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY trilogy)

Yeah, this one's pretty straightforward. Ever since the first film, there was so much about his character autistic people could connect with. He's badass and tough but also goofy and lovable. Nothing goes over his head. Ideal family man.

Officer K (BLADE RUNNER 2049)

The most "Literally Me" character from the actor who's played a lot of them. Even though he's a Replicant, he's got a sense of humanity in him. He's also really damn good at his job. And he's willing to do what is necessary for the right cause. Yeah, he's Kenough.

Barry Egan (PUNCH-DRUNK LOVE)

Probably the best portrayal of autism + anxiety, whether or not Adam Sandler and PTA intended it. Prone to meltdowns and irritable but also earnest and sensitive. Easy to see why so many on the spectrum relate to Barry and root for him on his journey.

Yoooooooo! Really glad you loved Lateralus! It still stands as my favorite TOOL album for a reason. You articulated that accurately and incredibly well here. Honestly wanna listen to it again now.
