Cinnamon pear jam tart, sprinkled with ginger sugar when it came out of the oven. Will top with whipped cream later!

I've come to the end of the Hawaiian Quilting class. I finished this pillow in time for tonight's last class. It's my own pattern and all hand sewn. It's definitely bright and Hawaiian-y 🌺

I decided to make a version of a Jersey diner's dish on their specials menu, donut French toast. I had apple cider donuts from a farm stand and hit on the idea - Apple cider donut French toast. Not sweet but could use some bacon for a touch of saltiness and maybe some apple compote.

Aprium Tart - made with the hybrid apricot-plum, hence aprium, I bought at Costco the other day.
I sprinkled ginger sugar over the fruit before baking. The ginger didn't come through, it could have used a bit more. Or use some finely minced crystallized ginger. Next experiment . . .

I'm not sure these little apples are easy to find but are worth looking for. I've only seen them in our Asian market. Yes that little one is the size of the picture!
