Love that every shot of him shows nobody sitting with or talking to him. Just an utterly miserable dude.

Really just can’t imagine it coming to fruition. The riders won’t show up and even if they did none of the manufacturers want their riders hitting stuff on live television.

I agree that it’ll end up at The Bend.

I think that this time to insanely hyped and valued companies are all playing by the rules. They wouldn’t do something stupid again, would they?

They lost the bit where Epstein killed himself.

They’re definitely gonna have to close a factory this year, right?

That’s the worst in recent memory. Tons of hail too, at least in the east bay.

We love Russian River, don’t we folks

We gotta figure out what’s going on with his neck. Very unsettling.

If Patrick Bateman hated trans people.

These guys are so fucking high on their own supply. You work at the autocomplete machine factory, humanity isn’t any of your concern.

Remembering the time that he ran for the democratic nomination for president just so that he could stand next to and smile at Bernie Sanders.

Totally reasonable!

We haven’t had that discussion but it’s probably because the CTO is the guy launching massive PRs that nobody can reasonably review into prod.

Anecdotally, we’ve released more meaningful bugs in the last 6 months with a smaller team than probably the entire few years I’ve been here. And that’s with Claude generating code that’s then reviewed by Codex and humans.

It’s the false sense of confidence machine. You can break stuff faster.

How convenient. Did the market respond more positively to these than if they’d said “we don’t have enough business coming in to need their labor”?
February 11, 2026 at 5:39 PM
I’m in the Bay Area and spend a decent amount of time in Tahoe, so I’ve seen quite a few of these now. It’s not an exaggeration to say that >50% of them have been stranded roadside or under tow.

Chat, do transportation companies love breakdowns or no?

Can’t believe this is real lol

One of the all time guys
February 11, 2026 at 4:56 AM
It’ll still go for over asking.
February 11, 2026 at 4:26 AM
I think that’s sort of the point, you only do that if having a real job isn’t a requirement.
February 11, 2026 at 4:23 AM
Geography too! Ski fields seem to locate themselves near wealth.

There’s some boring Freakanomics argument here that the best cross country skier in the world lives in a desert climate or something.

I’ve been operating under the assumption that if you’re an elite athlete in a non-stick and ball sport you’ve got a sizable trust fund waiting for you.
