granted, I don't think this sort of thing should replace leagues all the time, but it's kinda nice to have a shorter and easier to digest event this year instead of a big one.

As someone who goes super hardcore into leagues, I think gridmaster is neat. It's nice to have a seasonal gamemode where I feel like I can pop in and out at my own pace instead of having to go hard on it for four or five weeks straight. If casuals are enjoying it too that's also a plus.
