I have seen Home Alone more times than I can count at this point, but the scream that Daniel Stern lets out when Kevin puts the tarantula on Marv's face absolutely sends me in to fits of laughter EVERY.DAMN.TIME. I will 100% watch that scene any time I happen upon it.

Really sad to hear about the passing of Mani, bassist for the Stone Roses and Primal Scream. That first Roses album is legendary for a good reason. Fools Gold has been one of the songs I use to test/calibrate audio equipment for decades now. RIP

Oh man, Tomas Lindberg has passed away at the age of 52. Far, far too young. The importance of At The Gates, and especially Slaughter Of the Soul, really can't be overstated. Modern metal simply wouldn't sound the way it does if not for them. Very sad news for the metal community. RIP Tompa.

Imagine the different trajectory this country would be on right now if only Nancy Reagan had been lousy at giving head. Crazy stuff.

RIP Ozzy. What a crazy life. I am glad he got to have one last wild bash before he departed, and to see how much he meant to so many people and musicians. So much of the music I listen to can be traced back to Black Sabbath in some way. Truly an innovator and legend.

RIP Douglas McCarthy. Nitzer Ebb was a huge influence on me musically, one of the absolute foundational EBM bands. Everyone was hoping he would be able to put his demons behind him and get his health worked back up. Just a huge loss.

So the tree across the way outside my bedroom window has a Robin's nest, I've been watching them fly back and forth feeding the chicks. I was on the the phone today, and a hawk swooped down and snatched one of the chicks out, then flew off. Nature. Circle of life, and whatnot.

Very conflicted as to whether I want to try and engage with other actual human beings here, or if I am content to just continue liking pictures of owls, blue jays, and cats that I randomly come across.
