May reading log: 1) Remarkably Bright Creatures (Shelby Van Pelt) somehow manages to be endearing, quirky, and fun while being dull and predictable (3/5). 2) The Night Watchman (Louise Erdrich) - More please! Good writing, compelling characters. A story about resilience and identity (4.5/5)

April Reading Log: 1) The New York Game (Kevin Baker) - Fascinating work of NF, a reminder of just how wild baseball and New York can be 2) Berenice Bobs Her Hair (And Other Stories) - Some of Fitzgerald’s best, including May Day - my favorite 3) Winesberg, OH - stories of grotesque realism. Fun!

March Reading Log: The Woman In The Window (AJ Finn) and Moby Dick. Two very different novels, two very different experiences. The first was a thriller. Took 100 pages to get into the mystery. But once it did… wow. MD captivated me, bored me, then came the chase. It’s Moby f***ing Dick. Amazing.

Showing off a slice of the Parisian cake I ate back in February. This picturesque street in Montmartre was one of the many highlights. Wish I was back here doing this again.

Reading log: Feb 2025 - Scaffolding by Lauren Elkin, Blood Brothers by Ernst Haffner. Not pictured: Short stories by Hemingway. I read them all in Paris. Scaffolding is “Big Swiss” in Paris. Not my cup of tea but Elkin nailed the landing. BB is gritty but surprisingly sweet. Hem is Hem.

Reading log: January 2025 - my comfort reading month. The Hamlet, The Town by Faulkner. Outer Dark by McCarthy. Good reads by great authors - none of which are their best. The Town was my favorite bc it made me laugh, and Flem Snopes is a weaselly SOB.
