The titles and prefaces are my favorite *literary* aspect of this series. They're so subtle that it's hard to notice how IMPORTANT they are. It's not 'til about book 6 or 7 that the reader goes "Wait- you mean THAT?"

Perfect loops are a theme of the series, and the Ts&Ps really showcase that well.

Entirely unimportant, but for some context:
MC, Tro, mentions that he made a very good friend in ML's absence named Sihan. ML, Rim, gets a little jelly about it.
In fact, Kenita is also a potential love interest that falls through. Is this a trend of mine?? Do I just like the 3rd in love triangles??

This is why I cannot write in order. Book 1 and Book 10 and all in-between had to mostly be written congruently.
