Seeing a lot of love for the new pope bc a) he’s uh-MERICAN and b) he chided Vance. Somehow that cancels out that he is more anti-lgbtqia than his predecessor to some prople. He still runs the same church that does serious harm to women with its’ anti-abortion stance. He is no reformer. 👎

Crazy that when theaters are having a hard time filling seats, previews before a two and a half hour movie today (Sinners) were exactly 26 minutes. How do they not know this is not something ppl want? Get off my lawn, Cinemark.

Went to the Central Iowa Trans Lives festival today and it was such an uplifting event. Even surrounded by a state government that is hell bent on threatening them, today there was a spirit of resilience and joy. Picked up a lot of cool art and a couple books to add to the queue 🏳️⚧️

One thing I am noticing lately is that Tiktok or any social media can’t give me the same fun factor and satisfaction that actual reading of a book does. Even a less than stellar book is better than watching the world burn.

@appletves.bsky.social has tremendous shows, but not a ton of them. But the subs remains low. Why? Imo, traditional one a week release dates. I hate it. Rather than invest in a weekly, I would rather binge a season in a week of something else. They gotta change this. It’s a new era, Apple. Plz?

Just finished this one. Cannot say enough good things. Muir may be the best fantasy writer going right now. Amazing battle scenes, protagonists (and villains) to die for, a complex rich world that deserves many movies. Can’t wait to start Harrow tmrw. Just wow.🤯 👏
