There are new challenges and new capabilities, constantly. If and when the EU collectively decides one or other location is too great a security risk, we’ll hear all about it. Failing that, your suggestion of a conditional boycott of Ireland strikes me at least as unjustified. 2/2

You do know that Ireland within the EU has taken always security for summits seriously - and successfully. An example at random: a UK journalist figured he could embarrass a previous Irish Presidency by smuggling a gun into Dublin Castle. He was caught. 1/-

Can to point to any EU law requiring a member state to comply with NATO requirements for security? If not, it sounds like your original post calls for a boycott of meetings in Ireland as a sanction for it not being in NATO. Which seems … unreasonable.

Do NATO countries Norway, Denmark and Belgium meet this criteria, given they have all had to close their main airports in recent weeks due to drone activity?
