I'm a strong believer in never burning bridges. Even from a bad situation you are escaping. No need to use a flame thrower on everyone you're leaving behind

Surprisingly it's not as bad as you'd think. I travel with all kinds of techy crap and while I DO get to meet a lot of TSA agents, they are pretty okay with polite self deprecating geeks with a hardware acquisition problem (looks in the mirror)

Maybe. I've always liked the sense of finality and completion that balancing it all out provides. But... I've done night audit as a job and it gets repetitive pretty quickly.

I actually worked nights feeding impossibly fast line printers for banks that spewed that paper, almost flying through the air to stack itself... Most of the time. God help you if there was a jam. Also shoved punch cards into a sorter before shipping to the banks. Night job in college. But I'm old
