Go Jays go!
be anything *special (coming off of surgery can make that tricky)

If Tiedemann can be anything or Francis could recapture that form… As Mr. Barker would say, “Now you’re cooking with gravy.”

Very classy.

That’s my thought, too. Either way, the Jays profit from this. I really wanted to see a full year but figured it would be big money to see it happen.

I just don’t see how MLB gets a cap done. If they do, what do you do to grandfather? It’s one of the reasons I was kinda’ surprised Bieber didn’t go to free agency.

That team was insane. 74-40 when the strike started.

Definitely possible. But I am with you that he stays in Toronto. It makes too much sense for both him and for Toronto. Wouldn’t it be great to look back in 15 years on a Jays dynasty that just had a little blip in 2025 (like the Dodgers in ‘17)?

That is if these goofs don’t ruin it with a lockout…

He seems to like to throw on the run. Plays down the line might be a little bit more challenging. I would imagine most have him pegged as a 2B going forward. Bo is a smart guy, and I think he would make the move. But if someone is going to way overpay for him to play short, I worry.

I wonder about 3B, too.

I don’t know if they can convince him to move to 2nd. If not, you’d suspect the plan would be for him to stay at SS until Nimmala or Parker arrive. Seems Nimmala may be destined for a move from SS, too. The Jays can’t afford to lose Bo’s bat, but Giménez at short and Bo at 2nd is the best lineup.

With the exception of Alan Porter, the umpiring throughout the series wasn’t good enough for a World Series. That said, the saving grace, from a fan’s perspective, is that at least it was bad both ways throughout the series.

Do they? Mariano Rivera is the greatest closer of all time. Take a look at who blew Game 7 of the 2001 World Series. Do people say he was the sole reason the Yankees lost?

Bad pitch by Hoffman? Absolutely. His fault they lost that game? Absolutely not.

Also, look at Kershaw’s playoff stats…

Get it done, Ross.

The Jays had a lot of batters fail to cash in a run from third over Games 6 and 7. The thing the Jays did so well all year wasn’t there in those games. I don’t see people blaming Bieber for a hanger. I don’t see them blaming Trey. Nor should they. It’s not on one player. The team came up short.

Right now, though… It’s not looking so good.

Yeah. This should be a HUGE, “No, thanks.”
