Just found out the library call number for my book is 342.083 DUE — and I’m honestly buzzing!
My 11-year-old library monitor self just high-fived me through time. 📚🙌

AI Fairness highlight: listening to Prof. Payal Arora discuss co-designing AI teaching materials with marginalized communities to challenge stereotypes. She emphasized the need to balance authenticity with dignity: "Some situations people don't want photographed." Looking forward reading her book!

Had a fantastic day at the AI Fairness event in Bologna! Inspiring speakers from academia and industry, fascinating conversations during the breaks, and a new book for the train ride home. I also received some great feedback on my poster and have a few exciting leads to follow-up!

Legal scholars love words, and this is my attempt to squeeze my research into 600 words. It took me three days! Also, feeling I could be a graphic designer if academia doesn’t work out. Looking forward to hearing people’s thoughts during the networking lunch. #InclusiveData #AIFairness #Networking

The 'voluntary' diversity questions in HR systems feel contradictory. The 'required' asterisk (*) feels wrong, especially when the page claims participation is 'voluntary.'
At least this organisation includes an 'I prefer not to say' option—something many forget. It still feels uncomfortable.

Tired eyes after a day of proofreading the typeset proofs of my monograph. A new format is useful for finding errors! I started the day anxious about whether I would like my work after the 12mth process of getting it published. In my humble opinion, there are still a few interesting ideas in there.
