He sounds like Homer has always sounded - and, you know, he got hit by a massive car. Yeah, he would sound the same as regular healthy Homer (sarcasm).

You are just copy/pasting some Instagram Simpsons hater's hot take for extra likes.

It looked stunning. At the very least, it ought to disprove the naysayers who assumed the movie would be a "cheap" TV event on the big screen. The same people who still try to treat TV as an inferior lower-class form of entertainment.

That's the one area where Cameron excels above most directors. You see the end result on the screen - every penny properly spent.

Just like Cuba in the 1950s. And a potentially sad possibility for Venezuela as well.

I thought last year's "Guess who's coming to Skinner" was the 800th. But I'm guessing the Disney+ exclusive episodes weren't factored into that total.

In Raimi We Trust.

GoT, by default, couldn't be bigger because it was off-limits below a certain age for obvious reasons. ST catered both to older crowds and younger children.

And with that memory trip, you just gave me the excuse I needed to rewatch yet again Seinfeld's iconic "I'm not an orgy guy!" rant.

Worth checking out. And the lawyer is played by J.G. Hertzler, better known for playing Martok on DS9.

There was an episode of Enterprise back in 2003 that addressed the reality of non-warrior Klingons beautifully. "Judgement", which dealt with the Klingon lawyer representing Archer, one who could see the inevitable long-term decay of the Empire.

The way I see it, a lot of politicians, democrats especially, are terrified of impeaching anyone. For them, it would be an open public admission that democracy at its current state isn't quite healthy - which in their minds would cost them votes.

Bourne Supremacy. The Moscow taxi car chase ending at that tunnel. Feels closer to a documentary than an action film.

It took a second viewing for me to truly appreciate the artistry in this one. Now I can safely say it's superior to both Aquarius and Bacurau.

I could listen to Vince Gilligan talking about the beauty of Albuquerque puffy clouds all day.

Pippin Took would have been proud.

I think that's a good thing. Even DS9 at its most serialized was still fundamentally episodic, where you could easily tell episodes apart.

Example: Tacking into the Wind during the Dominion War - AKA the one where Worf kills Gowron, resolving the Klingon arc.

Six days into the new year, and only now I get to discover the existence of the term "Globo Homo".

Never have I been more grateful to be completely aloof and oblivious to the ravings of right-wing pundits like Carlson.

I actually liked the choices. Prince and 1989 make perfect sense when you remember it was the year Batman came out.

Wholeheartedly agreed. And he didn't even need to delve into Back to the Future.

As I understand, the only reason some studio exec hasn't violated that one is because Zemeckis and Gale secured their rights, making sure no one touches those gems until long, long after they're gone.

The Shang-Chi sequel delay was partly because Destin Daniel Cretton was attached to do Avengers before the Jonathan Majors crisis/Russo revamp, and then they put him in charge of Spider-Man Brand New Day (a movie that I'm very eager and optimistic for).

That one hit hard. One of the most impactful scenes of The Wire to me happens to be the one where Ziggy grapples with himself inside the car after killing Glekas - just sobbing, his hands shaking, the palpable pain he's in. As a performer, Ransone was nothing short of phenomenal. RIP.

If those numbers are accurate, then this means Brave New World, F4 and even Thunderbolts made more money than the first Chris Evans Captain America film back in 2011.

And people call the current MCU numbers underwhelming.

One thing that makes Vince Gilligan such a commendable showrunner: his respect for TV and its legacy. You could already see that way back then on X-Files with that X-Cops episode.

Other TV auteurs ought to learn more from him - especially the ones who try to shape the medium to be more like movies.
