Luce was the kind of anime-ish mascot the Vatican announced to reach youth in the Jubilee and I promptly forgot all about her and then it turns out there is a bunch of Luce lore. So we got bag charms.

As for the door itself, the route is a twisty one that takes you into the cathedral and out again and we got a bit lost, but it was absolutely gorgeous. And the best surprise was that once we went through the door....

We reported back to the Piazza Pia at our booked time and did the St Peter's Basilica door, which was great. A long walk but we were constantly moving, and there was a bunch of singing. This was the view once we got past the security desk. It looks like everyone's been raptured.

I couldn't see him from the middle of the crowd where I was - I literally threw my camera in the air when everyone else did and if you look closely enough you can see a small white figure in the middle. (I retreated to higher ground earlier on and got a better view)
