This reminded me of the episode of Justified where Raylan is talking to a former criminal turned dentist named Roland. Roland then Raylan what inspired him to be a dentist was Hermey the Misfit Elf from the Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer special that he was watching when Raylan first arrested him.
