Hi and welcome to our zine !

DuckZine WooHoo! will be a non-profit zine for all iterations of the Disney Duck Franchise. From the original comics, to the Classic Disney shorts, all the way to Ducktales'17 and the Paul Ruddish shorts!

Asked; Do u guys work with international shipping (esp in the countries US has tough relationships with) Answered; Thank you for the question. Unfortunately, if we do end up going physical, we will be shipping from the United States. We will be able to ship internationally (at a slightly higher cost) but it will be limited by the countries that the US is able to ship to (a link will be in the description).

Asked; How will writers play their role in the zine developing? Answered; Hi! Writers will be expected to write a short story piece around 1000-2500 words (working number, may change). If writers have another idea about what they can contribute we are more than happy to consider it as well!

Asked; Can we include non-duck characters or non-disney characters in our piexes? Answered; Any non-duck characters from the Disney Duck franchise (ie. Gyro, Jose, Panchito, etc) are allowed, any characters that feature heavily with duck characters ( ie. Goofy, Sora, Mickey, etc) will be approved based on the pitch and any non-disney characters are not allowed (unless you have a really good pitch.)

Asked; Are we allowed to make pieces based in alternate universes? Answered; Yes! Firstly, you are allowed to make pieces based on any Disney Franchise that includes the ducks, (Disney shorts, Kingdom Hearts, Paperinik, Darkwing Duck, etc) but you can also pitch your own alternate universe for the mods to approve. Not every AU pitch will be approved so that we can have a good balance between medias, but you are more than welcome to give it a try!

Asked; Are we allowed to use OCs that we created or just canon characters? Answered; At the time we are allowing OC’s, but only in minor roles compared to the canon characters. We do not want OC’s to be the main focus of the zine as that’s not what it’s about. If you have a specific idea though you are more than welcome to run it by the mods in the pitching process.

Asked; Is shipping allowed? Answered; Yes, shipping will be allowed, but since this zine is not focused on shipping, we will be limiting the amount of pieces that focus on shipping based on the pitches we receive. We want to have a good balance between shippy and non-shippy pieces, as well as a good balance between which ships we feature. (We will be allowing non-canon ships).
