I know exactly what I “missed”. Subtitles being wrong on even the shortest 10 second videos, constant “reactions” that were just blatant theft of other people’s work, and constant privacy scandals and data theft from the platform that nearly got them kicked off the App Store several times.

So it’s actually WORSE than just frame smoothing, because it can show not just “smoothed” but incorrect frames? I agree.

I have a 4080s and can’t tell the difference in Cyberpunk unless I stop playing, stay in one spot, and just stare at things. Unfortunately I don’t play games to just stare at objects, and DLSS’ noise issue is ugly as hell, so it’s a massive performance hit for basically no difference.

I have a 4080s and can’t tell the difference in Cyberpunk unless I stop playing, stay in one spot, and just stare at things. Unfortunately I don’t play games to just stare at objects, and DLSS’ noise issue is ugly as hell, so it’s a massive performance hit for basically no difference.
How in the world do you “accidentally” hit a key that far away from the target? You don’t need to rebind your key, what you need is glasses lol

GOOD chairs are expensive. “Gaming” chairs are usually a gimmick that are expensive and yet still awful for you. Herman Miller, get a refurb Aeron for $400 or so. Yes it’s pricey but it’ll last forever and replacement parts can be gotten if anything breaks.

People care about ray tracing? During actual gameplay I can’t see enough of a difference to justify that insane performance loss so I stopped caring about it ages ago

Ray tracing doesn’t look anywhere near good enough to justify the insane performance loss. And in most games, you can’t even tell the difference unless you’re standing still. I’m sick of it being marketed as a “feature” when it’s useless tech.

Hopefully at some point we can move on from this ray tracing gimmick. Doesn’t look anywhere near good enough to justify the performance loss in any titles I’ve used it in so far, and now we have stuff like BM:Wukong where UE5’s lighting looks IDENTICAL to RT and makes it pointless.

The switch still has games that require a data download to play (granted, those aren’t games by Nintendo). They’re rare and generally get the appropriate amount of backlash, though.

Usually pretty good about locking my settings down, but it’s always good to do a review and go over what’s necessary to be on. Uninstall apps you aren’t using, lock down location and file access, etc.
