What a week (AGAIN!) is right! It's been a rollercoaster, but seeing all the protest footage today has lifted a weight, and seeing some witty and clever signs brought me joy. I wish mainstream media did a better job coveting the events, but the independent media and social media got it out there!!

I've started an email to CTV to ask them why they're caving to a party and its supporters that actively avoids media and follow up questions. I'm disappointed in CTV I hope their closed door opens a much bigger window.

Canada had the same reaction as Europe. You can see in speeches, news broadcasts, and even shifts in policy and travel advisories, that counties that have been allies since WWI and II no longer trust the US.

He may be dismissive, but I wonder if anyone is telling him how this story is playing internationally. He's already weakening the US position and trust, and this incident and the comments about Europe are being talked about around the world.

A reminder to our 🇺🇸 friends that being able to buy elections in (what had been) an advanced democracy is uniquely American. Donation and spending limits are actually the norm. 🇨🇦 has some of the strictest but look around the 🌎 for inspiration. Electoral integrity is possible.

I hope our American friends and neighbours know that this rhetoric has pissed off almost every Canadian. I have never seen federal and provincial and territorial leaders so aligned. I've never seen so much patriotism.

British Columbia is literally putting in a program to make it easier for US doctors and nurses to practice here. BC and other Provinces would be wise to do the same with other sciences too.

I saw a post about this that ponders whether this was about himself, or a new "stand back and stand by". The former is chilling but the latter...I don't even want to think about the potential outcomes.
