I just re-found my notes on the game and remembered that I actually found the frame timer in memory (for the DS game it's at 02143B5B) with a bunch of other cool stuff around it (current frame index, current animation index, player position, etc)

Hm. I've been trying for a while but still am unable to get a similar result. Here's my closest attempt in Blender and the node setup. It's close but not perfect (random white pixels, line has gap in middle, etc). I had to treat it as a normal map to get the horizontal part which im not sure about.

Can you explain more on how you used the voronoi texture shown in the post to create the horizontal white lines on the water's surface? I can't figure it out.

It's hard to work on this model mostly due to burn out, but also the fact that geonode hair (which I use for fur) just doesn't work if you plan on rigging and animating the model so I'm just sort of twiddling my thumbs until the devs fix it. Mostly been posting updates since the last one on discord.
