When you say "it happens over 1000's of years" are you mistrusting the measurements gathered, for instance here: www.climate.gov/news-feature... ? Because at least the first graph shows a fast increase in temperature (almost 2 degrees within 100 years). If so, do you mind to explain why?
Climate Change: Global Temperature
Earth's surface temperature has risen about 2 degrees Fahrenheit since the start of the NOAA record in 1850. It may seem like a small change, but it's a tremendous increase in stored heat.
