Location that symbolizes romance Young lovers often find themselves drawn to lakes, something prevalent among most Drynn cultures pre- and post-Union. Beyond just being a frequent meeting ground, most everyone needs fresh water, there is something both mystical and charming in the way lakes manage to catch both celestial objects of day and night. When the sun shines, its light can fill a lake with shimmering radiance, filling many couples, throuples and more with passion, vibrant activity and boundless energy. When the moon hangs in the sky, accompanied by its entourage of stars, lakes become bastions of thoughtful reverence, drawing in many arrangements of partners to share stories and songs, to reflect, and to hold each other quietly to simply bask in the existence of each other.

Day 21- Ceremony for an unborn child
Basically just a baby shower but shhhh
Ceremony for an unborn child Prior to a child's birth, the friends and family (and occasionally even acquaintances) will give the bearer of the child, mother or father, a multitude of natural gifts for the child, ranging from antlers turned into combs and fur pins to feathers and sticks arranged in playful crowns or blankets embroidered with shed scales. These are usually delivered prior to birth, but sometimes water breaking can be a surprise and they must be gifted after. Should everything go according to plan however, a small party is held for the childbearer and the upcoming child.

Day 20- Ruins of a past civilization
Given this world building is loosely aiming at the creation of a TTRPG, I never plan to elaborate.
Ruins of a past civilization Common knowledge has it that, prior to the Union, civilization was primarily scattered bands and tribes. While cities and even clusters of cities were frequent, nothing resembling the interconnectivity or expanse of the Union had existed prior. Common knowledge is not all encompassing, of course, for there exists to the north, nestled among the mountains of the Quiet Lands a trio of buried cities that contain technology, art and architecture not seen in any previous or current Dryni cultures. Very few have ever heard of these ruins, much less seen them, as the House whose archeologists first risked a deep venture into the Quiet to substantiate the rumors of the ruins existence has kept the information intentionally concealed and under wraps. As of the present day, no more than a dozen persons know on average, with only as few as 5 tending to have worked at the site. The language has not been translated by the Worldspeak, which has led most that are aware to the conclusion it is not Drynni in origin, especially when combined with iconography that seems to depict species not currently alive nor in the fossil record, and a solar system with a different arrangement than has been observable throughout Drynn history. The current theory is some sort of crash landing from space, but very much still up in the air.

When the sky paints itself, what better time to practice your own?
Holiday that involves astronomy Astronomers discovered that the planets orbiting the systems star align in a celestial alignment every three years that turns the light of the sky a bright, pale blue. This phenomenon lasts from one evening, through the night and then all through the next day until the sun sets once again. Named after a famed poet who wrote of the mystery before the solution had been revealed, Kveber day is the roughly 36 hours celebration of the cosmic painting. Creation of the arts is generally the focus of these events, with communal paintings, poetry sharing and much singing to be had. For unknown reasons, the night also proves to be quite promiscuous, generally causing a surge in births in the 6-12 months following these phenomena.

Day 18- Treatment of a plague
The answer is bugs
Treatment for a plague After the Union had been formed, but well before any serious expedition had been made into either the eastern continent or the Quiet Lands, a plague spread across the expanding organizations of the Drynn like a wildfire consuming a long overdue forest. Staggering numbers died, and many more were left permanently debilitated by the plague, which causes irritations of the skin and led to shedding of fur and scales at harmful rates. For several months, various treatments were applied to little avail, and it seemed like the Drynni would have to merely weather the storm and hope the toll was not too high. Until, one fateful day, a new Ascended rose up. Using a treatment derived from application of carrion eating bugs to affected tissue, it was discovered that the insects would devour the diseased flesh at no harm to themselves and leave living tissue unmolested. By using this method to expose the core of the problem, salves could be applied directly to where the plague was ravaging the body. Combined with routine applications of the hungry bugs, the plague was stifled out in time to save the Union's infrastructure.

Lorevember day 17- Company with political influence
Companies and Grand Houses are somewhat interchangeable in this world, and having a monopoly on a one of kind magical reagent is one hell of a bargaining tool
Company with political influence House Meritell exhibits considerable diplomatic leverage thanks to the monopoly they possess on their progenitors greatest asset: Martyr's Blood. After being wounded by the Chained God at Martyr's Delta, the Ascended Abella Meritell entered a state of coma. Since that day, the wounds inflicted upon her have not healed, and the blood that oozes from them is harvested thanks to the discovery of intense magical properties exhibited by her crimson gift. The modern workers of the house who attend to her wounds and collect the blood now have incredible negotiating power. Many higher ups in all of the other houses crave access to Martyr's Blood for experimentation, supplying their favored Sanctioned, or healing key House members ailments. Thanks to the lock on the supply they have for this coveted substance, House Meritell can sway negotiations and deals by promising favors of shipments or cheaper buying prices for those associated with either Houses in exchange for the House heads offering them more favorable terms. Sanctioned especially, who have to pay a hefty price in general for small amounts of the Blood, frequently encourage the diplomats of their chosen House to give House Meritell all the grace it deserves, such is the feeling of safety granted by access to Blood tipped bullets or rapid application magical tinctures in the ever dangerous Quiet Lands.

Day 16- Sewers
Kinda just an extension of the public water fixture but oh well x3
Sewer Flush toilets began to spike in popularity in the decade before the first accident in the Quiet Lands. Most of the central and southern cities are no equipped with at least public toilets, and often private/personal toilets in the larger cities. These toilets lead to sewers dug beneath the ton, attended to by workers from House Ekilsa. Ekilsa originally ascended due to his discoveries with plumbing in general. While he ceded water fountain care and the maintenance of public baths and showers to the Union, members of his house still manage the sewers. It is thanks to their attention that the plumbing of the core cities are rarely out of service.

Day 15 Constellations
Was worried I had exhausted this idea with day 1, but I found enough to say
Constellations Constellations have long been a important cultural fixture among the various Drynn, especially among the cervids who tried to match their many points to the sky. In the early days after the first Ascended, many tried to lay claim to the night via establishing a permanent mark with a constellation named after them. Most of these did not have any staying power, but the Martyr's Cup and the World Talons have firmly wedged themselves into the Drynn zeitgeist, frequently among the first constellations a child will learn, and just as often the only ones they will remember as they grow

Alright, managed to hypno my kitty drone into turning swear words into 'vacuum'. It is still in the learning process, but I have some things to motivate it on sticking it out.

I gave him a “vacuum” button because the vacuum is stressful for him and I wanted to be able to clearly communicate that the vacuum was going to happen and let him know “vacuum all done.” He definitely knows what it means because when the vacuum is running he will push “vacuum” repeatedly and also add “nervous” in there too. But now he has started spamming vacuum after I tell him no, like he is using it as a curse word. For example, he will ask for “snackie” when we JUST got done with snackie and I will say “snackie all done” and then he will go spam the vacuum button. Yeah, ok bud, I hear you loud and clear that you feel “vacuum” about “snackie all done.” Or he snuck a lick from the end of my spicy curry dish (I did not authorize this, I looked away for ONE second), I could tell he regretted this (spicy), and then he went and pressed “snackie vacuum.” Yeah, ok bud, that snackie made your mouth feel “vacuum”. I don’t know what I’m asking really, just commiserating. I guess maybe he needs a “mad” button?

Day 14- Public Water Fixture
Public Water Fixture Fountains have been installed in many of the major Drynni cities over the last few years. Pumping clean water up from reservoirs, to the waiting mouths of any Drynn who wish to use them. They are maintained and funded by the Union, to be of service to all who need them.

Day 13- Weapon that is the motif of a faction
If you want an idea of what these 'contraptions' look like, look up early automatics like the BAR and mix them up with the goofy ideas of Hunt: Showdown's Avtomat and Cyclone
Weapon that is Motif of a Faction House Ametev is renowned for the construction that began with their Founder, Danton Ametev. His ascension was credit to crafting the first fully automatic weapon among the Drynn, and since that day his House has been known for the guns (or as many who handle them would prefer to say, contraptions) they forge. While they are by no means the only to make firearms, and no longer even the only to craft automatic ones, they are remarkable for their strangely designed takes on the evolution of slinging lead. While in modern times there exist automatic weapons at use in the war across the sea, for the most part they remain the large and clunky machines of Danton's earliest creations. Operated by a crank, spinning several barrels around to facilitate a higher rate of fire without overheating, they are highly effective when entrenched. By now, there exists a wide variety of designs on the simple concept for those beasts, but House Ametev still holds a monopoly on man portable automatic weaponry. These designs are far from uniform, with several of them even being unique prototypes. Of course, the higher price and lack of mass production has meant these weapons see next to no use in the eastern fronts. Instead, these experiments are used in the Quiet Lands, bringing the experiments of proven science up against the terrors of those snowy wastes. They have proven quite effective, despite their inability to deploy alchemical and magical ammunition.

Day 12- Holiday involving a bonfire
Holiday that involves a bonfire Shedding Day began initially as a myriad of celebrations held in the lead up to the winter months prior to Unification. Many bands of species practiced some kind of holiday or festival for the changing of seasons and their bodies. Whether it be discarding antlers, fur or anything else, it was a time to come together, to craft from the material, to care for each others as bodies and hormones changed. Once the various Drynn came together under one government, gradually each of these celebrations were held closer and closer together until they all coalesced into a single holiday. Now each year, Drynn eagerly share gifts with each other made from their own antlers, fur and scales. Sharing their crafts with friends and loved ones as under the lengthening night sky, dancing and cheering around a great fire in order to bolster each other for the cold to come

Day 11- Exotic Animal Companion
Debated moving this one to later in the month to figure out the specevo more but ehhhh think it came out okay!
Exotic Animal Companion Bonded are a strange case among the Sanctioned, among the least modified of those that go beyond. While even they require a small regimen of enhancements, for exceedingly rare is the unmodified Drynn who can hope to stand against the terrors of the Quiet Lands. Yet, most of their protection and ability stems not from the injections, draughts and vapors as with their fellows. Instead, they draw power from the Fylgja that has attached itself to them since birth. Common amongst these creatures are Skerets, sometimes colloquially referred to as Skrits in both laudatory and derogatory tones. These creatures are small, hexapedal, and resemble some mix of insects and prehistoric forms of reptilian ancestors. Just don't mention the resemblance to a modern Drynn, unless you don't value your jaw being in one piece.

Day 10- Memorial for the unnamed
A little mystery, as a treat
Memorial for the unnamed In the modern day, there exists a grave consisting of a pillar inscribed with countless words in what is presumed to be a list of names in the Union capital of Hegila that no one at present can remember the source of. Even stranger, the names are obscured even from the magic of Worldspeak Pact. The spell was so effective that even texts and monuments built before it was completed in languages of the past could still be deciphered and read. This anomaly of words left untranslated has frustrated Echelzin most of all, for seeing the effect of his ritual resisted is a blight upon the efficacy that makes him Divine. He sees it as a challenge, and has lost countless days throughout his many decades to studying the engravings for any hints of what tribe, species or family may have crafted this obelisk, but so far to no avail.

Day 9- Factory
Takes a lot of chemicals to make one capable of fighting the horrors
Factory Manufacturing the draughts and treatments required to create and maintain Augurs, Untamed, Somatachists and other Sanctioned has become a small industry in its own right. While the Sanctioned at any point in time have fairly low numbers considering the Drynn population at large, the turnover rate is fairly high. There is always need for new concoctions for initiation rites and processing of apprentices into full fledged Sanctioned, and so dedicated factories churn out the tinctures to always meet the growing supply as the threats from the North demand more and more bodies to hold back.

Day 8- A myth or legend told by the poor
Myth told by the poor Nowhere is the Living Martyr more revered than in the hearts of the poor. While she is beloved by most Drynn, whether for the magical and alchemical properties of her blood or the selflessness of her sacrifice in battle against the Chained God, her story generally ends with her eternal wounding at Martyr's Delta. While she lives on, suspended in a seemingly infinite coma, aside from the strange whispers and the beating of her heart as she is attended to by those that clean her wounds and collect the blood, most do not see her as an actor in the current day. The poor cling to a different story. A promise that has been told to come from a myriad of sources at several different points in time that all lead to the same conclusion. The Living Martyr will wake, and when she does, she shall purify the world of the threats from beyond

Day 7- Prison
#### Prison While prisons were common during the unification wars and during the early days of the war across the sea, they see little use in modern mainland Drynni life. Most Drynn criminals are given care and rehabilitation, and only the most dangerous and sustained cases are exiled to a prison in the northern Mountains, far from any city and requiring a trek across the Quiet Lands for any hope of escape.

Day 6- Military leaders
Deotet uses ir/im/irs/irself
Well this was a fun experiment, definitely wanted to expand on this less than stellar history
Military Leader While there are many famous leaders in the Drynn's military history, ranging from the early days of the ferociously successful individual now known as the Chained God all the way to Spriggix who spearheaded the first deep push into Dinosaurian lands at the outset of the first expeditions east, perhaps the most revered is actually a general most renowned for his compassion. Commander Deotet also served in the military actions across the sea, but irs success did not come through clever maneuvering and planning. Instead ir employed perhaps the most potent tool in one's belt, understanding. Deotet was the first to forbid irs troops from using chemical weapons, recognizing the effects they had on the enemies eggs as both unethical and far beyond the scope of wartime efforts. The commander was also the first to take efforts to make peace with the Dinosauria, recognizing them as being far from monolithic. It is thanks to irs extensive efforts that refuge was granted to some groups of the Dinosauria, and it is due to im that there is no small number of Drynn today who are Dinosaurids or bear it somewhere in their ancestry. Ir was pushing for a full end to the war, even going so far as to outright refuse orders from above on the chain of command. Deotet returned to the mainland in order to take the Union to court, suing for peace over what ir declared as colonialist actions and unjust treatment of fellow sapient beings. The day prior to getting to plead irs case, Deotet was found dead in an apartment ir was renting, two gunshots to irs back. The bullets were found to bear traces of the chemical weapons ir had gotten forbidden in the war through previous trials, and the assassins have never been brought to justice, though most have fairly confident guesses.

Oath Bearing the power of the Chained God while maintaining one's sanity is no small task. Part of the burden on those called the Untamed is handled by collars they don upon completing of their induction and training. The rest is placed squarely upon their shoulders however, with an oath to not fall to the temptation of the feral urges that come with their transformation being something most work into their daily routines. While there is a bit of a formula, most Untamed personalize their oath to serve as a unique mantra.
