Agreed. My day gets so much better when I get that email notification. As a writer, it's SOOOOO validating to see people actually reading and giving honest and thoughtful commentary.

To me, ao3 still is like a weekly jam session. There's great talent that just enjoys noodling around in fanfic, there's stuff too weird or spicy for BNP, and people learning by doing.
