I hope this doesn't arrive too late
I seek reprieve. i sit on the shore, facing that gargantuan beast. the sea. the waves are splendid and loud and violent. But also strangely soothing in their rhythm. an invitation. Like a siren song that lulls me to peaceful thoughts in the face of their hunger. I know i should resist their temptation, but it’s so inviting. I remember i also saw their violence, but it feels so good to be invited… it’d be rude to decline.
