Yes, but you need to start one and pop in every once in a while so they always remember that you COULD.

He's gonna walk because of the chain of custody issues with the alleged murder weapon anyway. Plenty of outdoor clawfoot tub practice by the time he hits silver fox status in his future anyway.

I always love it when people challenge the conventional wisdom no matter what.

Hey, this thing you take for granted... What if we didn't?

I'm a fan of modal editors.

But this still makes me cackle with glee.

To be fair, Bob Roberts did dedicate tonight's performance of "The Times Are a-Changin' Back" to him.

At rush hour in Los Angeles I could get 15 miles across the city in 45-50 minutes by fixed gear, obeying traffic laws. The same journey by car typically took 70-80 minutes.

How could I forget the first RATM album!?

This is tough. Just one? I mean Portishead, Indigo Girls, and Radiohead each made 2 in the decade. Massive Attack three.

Loveless, Empty Bottles Broken Hearts, and a few others in there too.

But I'll keep it simple.

I never liked KDE, too slick. Gnome has gone from shit to amazing and back more times than I care to count. 18 months ago had been without a Linux daily driver for a decade (had a backup / toy with xfce or cb++ most of that time) and went for i3, recently sway. Changed everything.

Also to add the M chips are downright impressive. This is not from personal experience running one but from looking at specs and hearing anecdotes from a lot of pros and students, anyone spending under 1k on a laptop is best off with an Apple Silicon.

That's fair. Yeah, your typical person is 10x better off on Mac than Linux even. I've used PC and Mac professionally as interchangeably as is possible for 25 years. Linux personally for a lot of that time, but been using it for work for 18 months and found it much less painless than I anticipated.

Also, having installed and maintaining Debian with Gnome for a normie I can say it is ready for primetime - even for regular users. And that's FAR from the most user / new user friendly distro!

A student who has a new laptop and keeps accidentally hitting the Copilot KEY that is now installed in the bottom row. And it stops whatever you're doing to beg you to use it. You have to change registry values to remap it. It's one of the most insanely intrusive Dark Patterns I've ever seen.
