Love that our fun little book got picked by fancy dancy Publisher's Weekly as one of their fall GN picks. As our publisher emailed us, "There were a lot of books submitted for this feature (from both Dark Horse and other publishers), so it's great to see that Who Are the Power Pals? was chosen."

I mean... we have a whole tariff thing going on right now, and a big part of it is dairy, so I won't be sipping on any of this anytime soon, but I would hope @ashcanpress.com would provide a complete review on the next Substack. I expect it's as awful as it seems.

I’m not a zine guy. I generally find them lacking, and yet two of my all time favourite comic stories are essentially zines by @jasonloo.bsky.social and @jefflemire171.bsky.social (and I still have!) so Shawn might be on to something.

If you are a fan of comics form, and you don't know @jesselonergan.bsky.social work, you should. I met Jesse a few years ago at Baltimore and immediately hit it off with him, both as an artist, and a person. And I thought, "I am getting this guy to do some art on one of my books some day."

FINALLY got my comps for #1 and so sending out my last 7 hand-pressed and signed (by @theahmedraafat.bsky.social and myself) covers to #1 of Who Are The Powerpals? as a thank you to stores. Only 30 of these exist. Other fun goodies have started making their way out for #2 and #3 as well!
